It is understood that the Paul Ricard circuit in France will host Pirelli's next Formula One tyre development test next week.

It was reported last week that Monza would be the venue of the next test after Nick Heidfeld completed the first two days of Pirelli's testing programme at Mugello behind the wheel of a Toyota TF109.

According to 422race.com, however, the venue of the Italian Grand Prix will now host the third test on September 21 and 22, just over a week after the race.

The Jerez circuit in Spain is also expected to host a closed Pirelli test before F1 teams run the tyres for the first time in Abu Dhabi after November's season finale at the same circuit.

Elsewhere, the reason for the delay in the Korea International Circuit build has been blamed on bad weather.

The venue was expected to host the Asian Festival of Speed in late August but has now been scheduled for late September. The circuit is set to officially open on September 5, with the F1 race scheduled for October 24.
