Young drivers ready to make their mark

The young driver test line-ups are nearing completion with all teams taking part having named at least one driver to run in their 2010 machinery in Abu Dhabi today and tomorrow.

The test marks the final occasion the cars will run with Bridgestone rubber before handing over the mantle of tyre supplier to Pirelli, who will run a two-day test on Friday and Saturday of this week.

Of the nominated drivers so far, only Sergio Perez is guaranteed to be in F1 next season having signed with Sauber, although rumours persist that Pastor Maldonado, testing for HRT and Williams thanks to the team's new technical partnership, will be driving in F1 next season, having been strongly linked with Williams.

McLaren is fielding long-term tester Gary Paffett, the oldest driver taking part at 27, while iSport GP2 driver Oliver Turvey also gets an outing in the MP4-25.

Ferrari's newly-appointed test driver Jules Bianchi will be one of four drivers behind the wheel of the 2010 Ferrari, with Australian Daniel Ricciardo getting the chance to sample the season's best car, the Red Bull RB6.
