Ricciardo happy to put future in Red Bull's hands

Amid speculation about his future, Red Bull reserve driver Daniel Ricciardo has returned home to Australia unsure if he is on the cusp of his Formula One debut.
Ricciardo has been linked to a Toro Rosso drive in 2011 after setting headline times at the wheel of the championship-winning Red Bull RB6 during the recent young driver test in Abu Dhabi. But despite the hype, Ricciardo told F1's official website: "At the moment I have nothing to tell. Of course it is my aim to break into Formula One but right now there are no new developments."
He said his future is currently in the hands of Dr Helmut Marko, the head of Red Bull's driver programme, who has mentored newly-crowned champion Sebastian Vettel through the team's young driver programme in recent years.
"I am on standby, but that feels alright with me," he added. "I think I had a good season in the World Series [by Renault] and delivered two good test days so I think I did everything I could from my side. It is up to Helmut. I only can wait and hope that he finds me a place for 2011."
However, he admitted that Marko had given nothing away after the test, despite Ricciardo clocking a lap quicker than Vettel's pole position time three days earlier.
"He didn't say 'wow, you were faster than Sebastian and Mark', he just said 'well done'. Of course he knew that the track was faster after so many days running, with the race weekend and then the tests, but knowing that he's not an exuberant kind of guy I think he was pretty pleased."
