Ferrari team principal Stefano Domenicali says he wants Felipe Massa to replicate the form he showed in Canada throughout the rest of the season.

Massa had struggled during the early part of the year, but was much more competitive in Montreal where he qualified third behind Sebastian Vettel and Fernando Alonso before running more quickly than his team-mate in the early part of the race. After handling the conditions well to be running third behind Michael Schumacher, Massa spun when lapping an HRT and hat to pit for a new nose cone, dropping him down the order.

Despite the damage Massa still recovered to steal sixth on the line from Kamui Kobayashi, and Domenicali said it was that kind of battling drive that would need to be displayed more often.

"That is what we want to see from Felipe," Domenicali told Sporting Life. "It's why I'm always pushing when we have difficult moments, saying that we need to deliver because we believe in him.

"In Canada he did a great job because he didn't give up, even in the last few centimetres of the race. That is what I want to see from him from now up until the end of the season. It's very important for him, but also for the team."
