Martin Brundle is expected to join Sky as a co-commentator for the 2012 season, as the BBC downsizes to covering ten races per season live.
Brundle announced on Twitter over the weekend that he has "had an offer from BBC and Sky" and that he would "consider my future" ahead of the Indian Grand Prix. The Daily Telegraph now reports that Brundle will join Sky as a co-commentator, with BBC Radio Five Live's David Croft also joining as lead commentator.
The decision for the BBC then becomes whether to take the Sky commentary feed - which has to be offered as part of the new deal - or provide its own commentary. It was announced earlier this year that Sky would take over full Formula One coverage, with the BBC showing ten races live and ten races in highlights packages.
