Ben Edwards will commentate for the BBC alongside David Coulthard in 2012, according to a report in The Telegraph.

It would mark a return to Formula One commentary for Edwards for the first time since a single season alongside John Watson for Sky's F1 Digital+ channel in 2002. The pair also worked together for Eurosport on the 1995 and 1996 seasons, while Edwards has since been commentating on the British Touring Car Championship.

Edwards will replace the outgoing Martin Brundle who is joining Sky Sports along with Ted Kravitz, David Croft, Anthony Davidson and Natalie Pinkham. The report says that an official announcement will be made by the BBC in the New Year when it has found a replacement for Kravitz.
