Red Bull chief technical officer Adrian Newey and Nigel Mansell have both been named in the New Year's Honours list.

Newey has been made an OBE (Officer of the Order of the British Empire) for his services to motorsport, while Mansell, who is already an OBE, has been awarded CBE (Commander of the Order of the British Empire) in recognition of his charity work with UK Youth.

Newey has been instrumental to Red Bull's recent success and has a long history of designing race winning cars at McLaren and Williams. Mansell, who received his OBE for his services to motorsport, is now the president of UK Youth which works with young people to build their self esteem, aptitude, skills and knowledge in order to help them gain work.
