Jenson Button believes the 2013 McLaren will suit him more after describing this year as his most difficult season with the team so far.

Having won the season-opening race in Australia and qualified second for the first two grands prix, Button seemed set to challenge for the title this year as McLaren started the season with the quickest car. However, Button struggled to set the car up to his liking during the middle of the season and has only won once more since Melbourne, taking victory in the Belgian Grand Prix.

While admitting that the car has not been to his liking this season, Button said he was hopeful that he will be more comfortable in the 2013 car.

"For me this year has been more difficult than the last two years," Button told Sky Sports News. "The car is quick; we've proved that on many occasions. But for consistency for me it's been a little bit more difficult to get the results. The car next year should suit me a bit more, which I'm very excited about."
