New Ferrari called F14 T after fan vote
Ferrari has confirmed its 2014 car will be called the F14 T after over one million fans took part in an online vote to pick the name.
The winning name gained 369,711 votes, 32.9% of those cast, narrowly edging out F166 Turbo (31.2%), ahead of its online launch on Saturday. Fans were able to vote on the team's official website, or via Facebook or its Twitter feed.
Last week Fernando Alonso tweeted his support of the F14 T to encourage other fans to vote. Other names in the process were F14 Scuderia (18.8%), F14 Maranello (12.3%) and F616 (4.8%).
The team confirmed a total of 1,123,741 fans took part in the voting. After its online unveiling, the car will appear at the first pre-season test at Jerez on January 28.
