Fernando Alonso insists he has not been in talks with any other team about a move away from Ferrari.

Alonso has two years remaining on his contract but Ferrari's poor performance this year has led to speculation that he might start looking elsewhere. However, with Nico Rosberg committing his future to Mercedes this week and few options available elsewhere at top teams, Alonso stressed that he has not considered looking elsewhere.

"Every year now I get asked this question in July, maybe since I started in 2003," he said. "I haven't talked with any other team and it's not my priority. We have to score some good points this weekend and get some good results this year."

Alonso was in Maranello last week working on the simulator while the Ferrari F14 T tested on track at Silverstone, but he said his visit to the factory was no different to any other.

"I was in Maranello mainly for the simulator activities and I talked to the president and Marco Mattiacci, but it was no different last week."

Alonso is hoping new parts will help Ferrari progress this weekend and said the focus remains on beating its rivals to second place in the constructors' championship.

"We have some new parts that will hopefully bring some performance, but we know that it is going to be tough. Our target is to beat some of our main competitors in the constructors' championship. Between second and fifth or sixth in the constructors' championship it is getting very tight and it will be very tight until the end of the season. Here is our next opportunity to decrease the gap to Red Bull and increase the gap with Williams and McLaren, but they are coming very strong. That is the target and I think it is going to be interesting."
