Fernando Alonso is confident Ferrari's new car will be more to his liking than the 2010 model.

Alonso joined the Italian team last year and finished second in the championship, narrowly missing out on the title at the last race in Abu Dhabi. His form picked up considerably towards the end of the season after a couple of uncharacteristic mistakes early on.

With one year at Ferrari under his belt, Alonso is confident the new F150, launched in Maranello on Friday, will suit him better than the F10 it replaces.

"I am far more integrated in the team and that feeling has been carried out through 2010 and has contributed to the creation of the new car," he said. "I think that I will find it easier for me to adapt to this new car and I hope it will be as strong as it is beautiful."

He said there is always pressure driving for Ferrari, but that he is more motivated than ever to challenge for the championship.

"I am really motivated, I am really excited, 2010 was an incredible year for me and I found an incredible team, it was really passionate for me as the driver," he said. "2011 will be a new challenge with new technical regulations and the driver will have to adapt to new changes, such as KERS for example.

"The new car we see here is the fruit of the labour of many months' work by the people who work for Ferrari. Now we have to commit entirely to what we do and we are ready. We are up for the challenge."
