Ferrari will launch its new car at its Maranello base on January 28.
The car will be known as the 281 and the team is launching it in time for the first F1 test of 2010 at Valencia's Ricardo Tormo circuit on February 1. Felipe Massa, who is currently relaxing with his new team-mate Fernando Alonso at a Ferrari media event in the Italian Dolomites, will be the first to drive the car.
Team principal Stefano Domenicali has set his sights on winning the title and beating ex-Ferrari driver Michael Schumacher, who is returning to the sport with Mercedes.
"Michael's return is further stimulus within our set-up," Domenicali said at the media event, 'Wroom'. "It has also triggered new interest and that is good for racing. We have two Latin drivers and it's a gush of fresh air which brings a sparkling new environment. This will stimulate team work and have a positive impact on the group."
Williams will also have its car ready in time for the first official test, but will not be holding a formal launch ceremony. It is likely to reveal its new car in the pit lane on the first morning of the Valencia test, as it did last year in the Algarve.
New driver Rubens Barrichello said his team is expecting big things from its 2010 challenger: "I have seen a gleam in the eyes of the team staff, they are as passionate about what they do as I am. The atmosphere is great."
