Provisional 2013 calendar revealed

The provisional calendar for the 2013 season has been sent to the teams, with the season starting on March 17 in Australia.

There is no race at Valencia on the calendar as the Spanish Grand Prix begins its alternation with the street circuit and Barcelona's Circuit de Catalunya. The German Grand Prix is listed as being held at the Nurburgring, in line with its alternation with Hockenheim, but is still subject to confirmation after the circuit hit financial trouble earlier this year.

The planned Grand Prix of America at New Jersey - the only new race on the calendar - follows the week after the Canadian Grand Prix in early June, while the Singapore and Korean Grands Prix are also both marked as subject to confirmation due to contract uncertainty.

As with this year, the season ends with back-to-back races with the United States Grand Prix in Austin on November 17 and the Brazilian Grand Prix at Interlagos on November 24.
