Nicklas Bendtner looks set to be on his way out of Arsenal with the striker on the verge of an £9 million move to Sporting Lisbon.

The Denmark striker has been in Portugual to discuss personal terms with Sporting after the Gunners reportedly accepted an undisclosed offer for the striker.

Bendtner had also been linked with Borussia Dortmund, Hamburg and Benfica, but Sporting appear to have won the race for the 23-year-old. Reports in Portugal suggest Bendtner will be unveiled before the club's friendly against Valencia on Saturday.

However, Bendtner's father and agent Thomas, insisted the striker was still considering his options.

"The status right now is that we've got a lot to work with," he said. "There are bids for Nicklas there, so it's a luxury. Now we have to find out which club is right. Some clubs we can reject right away, others we keep working with."
