Enrique set for Liverpool medical

Want-away Newcastle United fullback Jose Enrique is expected to undergo a medical at Liverpool on Monday after the clubs agreed a transfer fee.
Enrique became unsettled at Newcastle following Andy Carroll's £35 million switch to Anfield in January and landed himself in trouble by criticising the club's transfer policy via Twitter.
Liverpool, who have been tracking Enrique for a number of months, have had a bid of around £6 million accepted for the 25-year-old and the saga over his future appears to be finally approaching a climax.
Reds boss Kenny Dalglish has been looking to strengthen the left side of his defence ever since taking over from Roy Hodgson in January. He allowed Paul Konchesky, a Hodgson signing last summer, to leave on loan and with Fabio Aurelio injured, he employed right-back Glen Johnson in that position for the remainder of the campaign.
Argentina international Emiliano Insua returned from a season-long loan at Galatasaray to rejoin the squad for training last month but his future is uncertain as 17-year-old reserve team defender Jack Robinson showed at the end of the previous campaign he was capable of filling in.
Enrique joined Newcastle in a £6.3 million switch from Villarreal in August 2007 and has refused to enter into contract talks with the club despite having just one year left to run on his current deal.
The Spaniard's exit could allow manager Alan Pardew to sign PSV Eindhoven left-back Erik Pieters as a replacement.
