United told Sneijder is staying

Inter Milan have insisted that the door will be closed on a possible exit for Wesley Sneijder if, as expected, Samuel Eto'o heads for pastures new.
Cameroon international Eto'o has been strongly linked with a move away from Serie A, with Russian side Anzhi Makhachkala said to be leading the chase. Tottenham are also rumoured to be interested and it seems certain that he will move on.
Inter have spent a large chunk of the summer fighting to keep star man Sneijder, who has been linked with Manchester United and their rivals City.
Sneijder suggested last week that 'unofficial' talks had taken place with United, but it seems Inter are determined to fight their corner.
"Sneijder leaving? For Wes there has never been any sort of negotiation," Inter president Massimo Moratti told Gazzetta dello Sport.
"If Eto'o leaves, he remains. Sneijder was untouchable even before this hypothesis, now he is even more so. Sneijder will stay here."
