Transfer latest - follow all the news

Wesley Sneijder has seemingly ended any prospect of a move to Manchester United by insisting he is staying with Inter Milan.

The Netherlands international has been linked with a move to the Premier League for much of the summer - with Chelsea, Manchester City and United all monitoring his progress.

The prospect of a move had been heightened by Inter's desire to raise funds, although they have spoken of their intention to retain their star man.

Sneijder had spoken about being open to the prospect of a switch, but with the transfer window due to close on Wednesday he has now signalled his intention remain at the Giuseppe Meazza.

"I'm staying at Inter," Sneijder told Sender Nos. "I don't think I'll leave at this moment in the transfer market.

"Manchester United? Anything is possible in football, but I don't think this time something will happen.

"I know that if I were to leave it would have to be for the right price, Inter was clear about that. But I have not spoken formally with the two Manchester clubs."
