Wilshere a major worry for Arsenal
Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere could be sidelined for three crucial matches, with the Gunners already battling to cope with a shortage of players.
The Gunners face Liverpool and Manchester United in the Premier League and Udinese in the Champions League play-offs over the next 11 days in a series of fixtures that could shape their season.
With Gervinho and Alex Song both serving three-match Premier League suspensions and Samir Nasri set to join Cesc Fabregas in heading out of the Emirates, manager Arsene Wenger also has to deal with a lengthy injury list.
Now Wenger looks set to be without Wilshere, who left the Emirates after watching his team take a 1-0 first-leg lead against Udinese on Tuesday night with a protective boot on the ankle injury that kept him out of the season opener against Newcastle.
The Daily Express reports that the 19-year-old will definitely miss the Liverpool and Udinese games and is rated at only 50-50 to recover in time for the trip to Manchester United on August 28.
