Adebayor faces big challenge - Redknapp

Harry Redknapp has warned Emmanuel Adebayor that he will have to find his best form if he is to win over the Tottenham fans.
The forward is reported to be on the brink of sealing a loan move from Manchester City to Tottenham and he will be on the front foot when he arrives, given he is vilified by Arsenal fans following his acrimonious exit from the Emirates and subsequent antics while playing for City against the Gunners when he charged the length of the pitch to celebrate a goal.
Redknapp feels Arsenal fans' loathing of the player will stand him in good stead with Spurs supporters, but has warned Adebayor that he will be judged on his performances.
"He is a good player, a real talent, and if we can get him at it he will be a big success," Redknapp said. "He has a big point to prove. I think he is a real talent and if we can get him it will be good.
"The Arsenal fans hate Adebayor so I am sure that will make Tottenham fans like him. If he comes here and gets goals and plays well they will love him. If he is useless they will slaughter him."
The arrival of Adebayor would not spell the end of the line for Peter Crouch, who has been linked with a move from Spurs to Queens Park Rangers.
Redknapp said: "I have seen some talk about Crouchie, but I love Crouchie. He is a good player and there is nothing there as far as I'm concerned."
