Emmanuel Adebayor is on his way back to north London after joining Tottenham on a season-long loan.

The former Arsenal striker has been looking for a move away from Eastlands after struggling for first-team opportunities, and after a loan spell at Real Madrid last season has agreed a deal to spend the season at White Hart Lane.

Adebayor, who was spotted in the crowd during Spurs' Europa League clash against Hearts at White Hart Lane, can expect a mixed reaction from the Tottenham faithful having spent three seasons at the Gunners until his move to City in 2009.
