Manager Steve Kean has urged Blackburn's fans to give him time to turn things around at the club, believing the squad now has the talent to achieve a strong finish this season.

Recent signings Scott Dann, Simon Vukcevic and Yakubu are all set to be involved in Sunday's trip to face Fulham at Craven Cottage - which Kean hopes will see the club get their first points of the season after three defeats from three games.

After narrowly avoiding relegation last season the fans at Ewood Park are already beginning to get concerned about the club's future, but Kean has pleaded for calm as he looks to get things back on track.

"Bear with us. We have said judge us at the end of the transfer window because during the window we didn't get players in as quickly as we wanted," Kean said, when asked if he had a message for those concerned by recent results. "I think we have got a stronger squad than we had last year, and I'm sure most of the fans would agree."

The 43-year-old understands why supporters might be concerned, but maintains that he has the backing of the club's owners and will get things right sooner rather than later.

"It doesn't make me feel bad at all," he added. "I have a great relationship with the owners. I can understand the fans' frustration that we don't have points on the board right now, but if you speak with the fans and the way we are playing, I don't think we could have done too much more.

"I think there are a minority of the fans that are frustrated and we are sharing that frustration that we haven't got points. But the way we are playing, with the squad that we have got, I think it's a stronger squad than we had last year."
