Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp has insisted he has not held talks with regard to succeeding Fabio Capello as the next England manager.

Capello is set to step down from his role as England boss after next summer's European Championship and Redknapp is among the favourites to succeed the Italian.

Redknapp has said in the past that he would love to manage his country, but he claims he does not have any decision to make with regard to his future as there has been no dialogue.

"Until I get offered the job I wouldn't have a decision to make, but at the moment I haven't spoken to anybody about being England manager," he said in the London Evening Standard. "I want to see England do well, I want Capello to get them to the Euros and I want them to win it.

"And if they win it under Capello, I definitely won't get it."

Redknapp's focus is on Tottenham and he is revelling in life at White Hart Lane.

He said: "I love doing what I'm doing. I enjoy my job at Tottenham. I'm lucky to be managing a top club, a great club, and I love it."
