Zanetti bullish over Inter Milan move for Tevez

Inter Milan captain Javier Zanetti has hinted the club will try to sign AWOL Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez in the January transfer window.
The Serie A side registered an interest in Tevez during the summer, but were unable to match the player's wages, or the transfer fee demanded by City, and the deal never came to fruition.
However, given the complete breakdown in the relationship between City and Tevez since then - with Tevez fleeing to Argentina after being handed a misconduct charge and fined for his refusal to warm-up against Bayern Munich in September - a relatively cut-price deal could now be struck.
Inter are languishing in 17th place in the Italian league and are looking to refresh the squad under new manager Claudio Ranieri, with owner Massimo Moratti reportedly willing to spend up to £25 million to sign Tevez.
"In January, some big players will come," said Zanetti. "The club is working towards January, and they have always offered support when we needed it. He (Tevez) is having problems with his club, but he is a great player."
And fellow Argentine Zanetti believes former Corinthians and Manchester United striker Tevez would be an ideal replacement for Inter team-mate Diego Milito, who is a target for big-spending French club Paris Saint-Germain.
"Certainly, he is a star, he could substitute Milito," he told Gazzetta dello Sport.
