Wenger rules out Rosicky exit

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has ruled out the possiblity of midfielder Tomas Rosicky being sold during the January transfer window.

Rosicky, 31, has made three Premier League starts this season, including in the 8-2 defeat to Manchester United during August.

He has struggled to find a settled position, alternating between wide and central areas, and much of his time with the Gunners has been overshadowed by injury since he joined the club in 2006.

He has been linked with a winter return to the Bundesliga, where he played for Borussia Dortmund between 2001 and 2006, but Wenger is not willing to let him go. "Rosicky is at Arsenal and he remains at Arsenal," he said.

Meanwhile, Wenger says he will not move for Nicolas Anelka, whose transfer request has been accepted by Chelsea. The Frenchman is set to suffer a striker shortage when Marouane Chamakh goes to the African Cup of Nations next year - but he will not bid for Anelka, who says he already has a January deal lined up.

"You can expect a move but not within England from what I have heard," said Wenger. "I can't reveal to you what I know because it is not 100% guaranteed."
