The agent of Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko has dismissed reports that the striker could be set for a January move to Italy.

Dzeko, signed from Wolfsburg for around £27 milllion in January, enjoyed a prolific start to the current campaign - scoring six goals in his opening three Premier League matches - but has taken a back seat in recent weeks as Sergio Aguero and Mario Balotelli have been preferred by manager Roberto Mancini.

Reports had emerged suggesting Dzeko had discussed life in Italy with former Wolfsburg team-mate Andrea Barzagli after being targeted by Serie A clubs, but the Bosnia & Herzegovina international's agent, Irfan Redzepagic, has dismissed such suggestions.

"I know news has been circulating that there have been telephone conversations between Dzeko and Barzagli, but it is not possible to negotiate," Redzepagic told tuttomercatoweb.com.

"Juventus cannot negotiate and neither can Inter or AC Milan. Edin is happy in England and at City he has everything that he wants."
