Tevez deal still far from completion

There is still "a long way to go" before Manchester City agree terms with AC Milan over the sale of Carlos Tevez, according to a FIFA-approved agent working on the transfer.

The out-of-favour Argentina international appears to be destined for the Serie A side in January, after Milan's vice-president Adriano Galliani revealed that they had agreed personal terms with the player and were working on agreeing a deal with City - which would involve an initial loan followed by a permanent transfer, at an agreed price, in the summer.

However, FIFA-approved agent Giuseppe Riso - who is liaising between Tevez's agent Kia Joorabchian and Galliani - has warned that an agreement between the two clubs is not imminent.

"At the moment there are no further developments," Riso told direttanews.it. "There is no agreement with Manchester City. It is still in progress and there is a long way to go before it can be concluded.

"There is no news on the Argentinian player or the economic issue between the two clubs."
