Carlos Tevez looks certain to head to Serie A in January after Kia Joorabchian revealed he will sign for another club in Europe.

Tevez has been the target of newly-crowned Brazilian champions Corinthians since the summer, when a move collapsed as time ran out before the South American transfer window closed. There had been speculation that Corinthians would renew their interest, but their hopes now appear to be slim.

Joorabchian, Tevez's advisor, says his player wants to play for a "great club" and will stay in Europe.

"A return to Brazil? It's a possibility, but for the time being he wants to play in Europe," Joorabchian was quoted as saying on www.milannews.it. "He (Tevez) is training intensely. In January he wants to return to have a starring role and play in a great club.

"Milan is a great club but there are other Italian clubs that have also requested information."

AC Milan president vice-president Adriano Galliani claimed in Monday that the club have been given permission by Manchester City to open talks with Tevez, who is currently AWOL after his much-publicised troubled at the Premier League club.

Elsewere, City manager Roberto Mancini has branded Tevez 'stupid' for the behaviour this season that has seen the striker move towards the exit door at the club.
