Mancini pleased by Milan's Tevez interest
Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini is in the dark over Carlos Tevez's situation, but says he is happy for the striker to join AC Milan.
It emerged on Monday that Tevez has been given permission to open talks with the Serie A side, and key advisor Kia Joorabchian expects the Argentina international to stay in Europe.
The writing was on the wall for Tevez when he was suspended and fined by City for refusing to warm up against Bayern Munich, and he was linked with moves to Corinthians and Juventus before the Milan reports surfaced.
"I don't know what the situation is," Mancini said. "I think that for us it is important we sell him. If he has a chance to go to Italy, I am happy for him."
Meanwhile, Kolo Toure has denied making comments attributed to him in the media, in which he alleged African players in England are being discriminated against because they miss a chunk of the Premier League season to compete at the African Cup of Nations.
"I spoke about this with Kolo yesterday," Mancini said. "He said he did not say anything about this. He doesn't have any problems at this moment - he explained [this] to me.
"Yesterday before training he said to me: 'Sorry boss but in the newspaper it will come out that I said this, this, this - but I did say nothing about this.' For me this is OK."
