AC Milan will not allow Alexandre Pato or any other player to join Manchester City in part-exchange for Carlos Tevez, according to vice-president Adriano Galliani.

The Italian champions have emerged as the strongest contender for Tevez's signature in January, after Galliani revealed earlier in the week that the club has agreed personal terms with the player - who is keen to make the switch to San Siro.

Milan have made an offer to loan the Argentina international in the transfer window with an option to purchase him outright in the summer, although it remains to be seen whether the Premier League club accept.

However, Galliani is adamant the Serie A side will not consider amending their bid, and that including one of their players in the deal is out of the question. Both City and Chelsea have previously been linked with Pato, the versatile Brazilian forward.

"There is an offer sent to Manchester for Tevez," Galliani said to milanews.it. "However, we have not spoken about any of our players going to City or any other club.

"Our fans can be calm because this is the truth."

City are pushing to sell Tevez at the first opportunity, but Milan only want to make loan additions in January.

"We know that City's desire is to sell the player but our offer is to get the player on loan with an option to make that deal permanent," Galliani noted. "We hope that City says yes because our offer will not be modified."

Earlier on Friday, Galliani revealed that Paris St Germain have entered the race for Tevez's signature. The owner of the Qatari-controlled French club is a cousin of City owner Sheikh Mansour.
