Wenger rules out January bid for Gourcuff

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has spoken of his admiration for Yoann Gourcuff but ruled out a January raid on Lyon for the midfielder.
Gourcuff has long been linked with a move to the Gunners, with his creative nature earning praise from Wegner.
It was claimed that the Arsenal boss made a bid for Gourcuff late in the summer window and reports have suggested a January offer could be in the pipeline.
Wenger is clearly monitoring the 25-year-old's situation but claims that he is happy with his midfield options - despite having been without Jack Wilshere for the whole of the season to date.
"He is a player I like a lot and I believe people have been very critical towards him in France," Wenger told Canal+. "However, we won't be in the winter market for any midfielders as we have players that are coming back from injuries."
Gourcuff is keen to remain at Lyon for the remainder of the season, in a bid to boost his chances of representing France at Euro 2012.
He said: "My objective is have a good second part of the season with Lyon which I hope will help me to play at Euro 2012."
