'Very happy' Tiote has no interest in leaving Magpies

Cheik Tiote has insisted he is "very happy" at Newcastle United and has no desire to leave the club in January, despite rumoured interest from clubs including Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United.
The 25-year-old Ivory Coast international has been linked with a move to a bigger club after a stellar first 18 months in English football, despite Magpies manager Alan Pardew recently warning it would be "very, very difficult" for any club to sign one of his players.
Tiote has now reiterated that stance despite the interest being shown in him, insisting he is enjoying his football at St James' Park and is concentrating solely on helping Newcastle retain their current position in the Premier League table.
"People can say whatever they want to say about me, but I'm a professional footballer and I play for Newcastle," Tiote told the Newcastle Evening Chronicle.
"I'm not thinking of leaving in January - I'm very happy playing for this club.
"That's my job and I need to work hard for the team and the club. I have to focus on my job for Newcastle - that's what I have to do."
