Arsene Wenger: 'We must not let the Champions League distract us'

There is the mouthwatering prospect of an all-England Champions League final as Manchester United and Arsenal have been kept apart in the draws for the quarter and semi-finals of Europe's Premier club competition.

The draw for the quarter-finals, which was made by former Spain and Real Madrid legend Emilio Butragueno, has thrown up a rematch of the 1999 final as Manchester United will face Bayern Munich, while Arsenal will face the might of Barcelona.

Should United, who crushed AC Milan to reach the last eight, beat Bayern they will face the winner of the quarter-final between Lyon and Bordeaux.

Arsenal have been handed arguably the most unenviable task, as they will have to overcome Lionel Messi's Barca who were simply sensational in thrashing Stuttgart on Wednesday.

There will be a French semi-finalist as Lyon have been drawn out with Ligue 1 champions Bordeaux, while the remaining quarter-final pits Jose Mourinho's Inter Milan against CSKA Moscow.

The draw for the semis was made at the same time and United will be at home in the first leg, should they beat Bayern, against either Lyon or Bordeaux, while Arsenal will be on their travels in the first leg, if Barca are toppled, to either Inter or CSKA.

Quarter-final draw:
Lyon v Bordeaux
Bayern Munich v Manchester United
Arsenal v Barcelona
Inter Milan v CSKA Moscow

Semi-final draw:
Bayern Munich or Manchester United v Lyon or Bordeaux
Inter Milan or CSKA Moscow v Arsenal or Barcelona

Quarter-final ties will take place March 30-31 and April 6-7, while the semi-finals are on April 20-21 and April 28-29.
