Tottenham Hotspur defender Sebastien Bassong appears to be open to a move away from White Hart Lane after voicing his frustration at a lack of playing time at the club.

Cameroon international Bassong has found himself behind Ledley King, William Gallas, Michael Dawson and Younes Kaboul in the Spurs pecking order, and has made only five appearances - just one as a start - in the Premier League this season.

"Whether I stay or I go, we must find a solution,'' Bassong, who has been linked with a move to West Ham and QPR, told L'Equipe.

"I need to play. The manager and the chairman, they understand my position. But football is a business.''

Cameroon surprisingly failed to qualify for the African Cup of Nations, which begins this month, so Bassong is denied the chance to play himself into form at the tournament.
