After seeing his Tottenham side cut the gap at the top of the Premier League to three points with a 2-0 win over Everton, Harry Redknapp turned the heat on Manchester City by insisting they are the side under pressure.

Goals from Aaron Lennon and Benoit Assou-Ekotto ensured Spurs kept up their fine run of form against an admittedly limited Everton.

Redknapp has attempted to keep the focus away from his players, but they are firmly in the title picture. The Spurs boss, though, feels the money spent by City means there is far more pressure on their manager Roberto Mancini.

"I think the pressure's on Man City," Redknappp said. "You look at the money they've been able to spend on players like (Edin) Dzeko and (Sergio) Aguero.

"They're going to be expected to be there, certainly them or Man United. We're just hanging in there. Keeping players bright, keeping players enjoying it. We're playing with smiles on our faces.

"I've been saying all along it's not impossible to win the title, but it's very, very hard. But we're in there, we've got a chance. I wouldn't put that pressure on the players. They believe we've got a chance - we've got good players, good spirit.

"The lads have been talking about it. They said William Gallas came in and said: 'We've got a chance here.' It's not beyond the realms of possibility. We've got some real quality, haven't we?

"But we've got a good side. We have just come along and nicked 40 points. Two years ago we finished fourth, finished fifth last season and we were third this time last year. Finishing about Arsenal would be a great achievement."

Michael Dawson made his comeback from injury in the win and is looking to make an impact in the second half of the season.

"I'm delighted to be back playing, to get the three points and go second," Dawson said.
