Chelsea must stick to AVB's gameplan - Drogba

Striker Didier Drogba insists that Chelsea are doubly motivated to beat Napoli on Tuesday after having their chances of winning the Champions League widely written off.

The Blues have struggled of late under boss Andre Villas-Boas, who reportedly is struggling to convince his players to support his methods. Chelsea, fifth in the Premier League, produced one of their worst performances of the season last weekend, drawing 1-1 at home to Championship side Birmingham in the FA Cup.

Villas-Boas' side have altered their tactics at will, with the heavy pressing style favoured at the start of the season now seen infrequently. That has led to the suggestion that the players are calling the shots over tactics - but Drogba says that Villas-Boas' gameplan for Napoli is the one to stick to.

"We are all responsible for results," Drogba said. "The best way [to win] is to believe we can. We have talent, goalscorers - and the players want to put the ball in the net. The most important thing for me is to create chances: the more chances you create, the more possibilities you have to score.

"We feel that nobody really believes in us, but we are used to this competition and we're going to have to show we deserve to be here. Napoli are at this stage of the competition because they deserve it. This is a cup game and we are going to have to make a good result.

"We'll have to be clever and we're going to do what the manager is asking us to do - like always, of course."

John Terry remains a major doubt for the fixture, but Ashley Cole is set to recover from a calf problem in time.
