Luis Suarez has reaffirmed his commitment to Liverpool, with the Uruguayan insisting he and his family are settled in the area.

Suarez has proved to be a huge success since his move from Ajax in January 2011, but he has had to contend with controversies - notably the incident that saw him serve an eight-match ban after being found guilty of aiming racist language at Manchester United defender Patrice Evra.

It had been claimed that Liverpool were looking into the prospect of offloading the forward, with Paris Saint Germain reported to be interested.

Suarez gave a recent interview where he claimed he was committed to Liverpool and he has reaffirmed this to the club's official website.

"I have spoken with people at the club and they know that I want to stay and that I am enjoying myself and am very happy here," Suarez said.

"No one at the club has told me that they want to try and sell me or that I will be leaving!

"I'm going to carry on playing my football here at Liverpool. There are a good few years left on my contract and I want to carry on enjoying myself because both my family and I feel really happy here."
