Kenny Dalglish has spoken of his delight that Luis Suarez has reaffirmed his commitment to Liverpool.

Despite being a major success on Merseyside since his arrival last year, there have been reports that he could be sold in the summer.

Paris Saint Germain are believed to be keeping tabs on a player who was hit with an eight-match ban after being found guilty of aiming racist language at Manchester United's Patrice Evra.

Suarez, who has a contract to 2016, recently shrugged off talk of a move and that has pleased Dalglish.

Reds boss Dalglish said: "It's certainly encouraging for us, although it might be bad news for the other Premier League teams.

"Luis has always said he is happy here, so it's great for everyone who supports us.

"I don't think he has been anything other than a threat to the opposition.

"So we are delighted with the wee man's comments and we have been delighted with him since he has been here.

"Luis has made a contribution every time he has stepped out on to the pitch. He scores goals, creates goals and it's great news that he is happy."
