Everton boss David Moyes has attempted to take the higher ground ahead of Saturday's FA Cup semi-final with Liverpool, insisting his club take decisions on the chin.

The Merseyside rivals head to Wembley for one of the biggest showdowns between the two clubs in several years. It will be the first time the pair have met at Wembley since the 1989 final, won 3-2 by Liverpool.

Reds boss Kenny Dalglish has been extremely vocal in his criticism of referees in recent weeks, following a number of questionable decisions, including a crucial handball at Newcastle. The Scot has even suggested that he fears the club's fans will begin to think there is a conspiracy against the Anfield club.

It is not the first time Dalglish has made such comments, after quotes from the Liverpool manager earlier in the season led to a visit from referees' chief Mike Riley. Two weeks later Everton suffered a controversial red card against the Reds, but Moyes is not prepared to apply his own pressure to referee Howard Webb ahead of the weekend.

"We will go with the referee on the day," Moyes said. "We will trust his judgement. No doubt I will be shouting if things don't go right but that's what you do if you're a manager.

"We are not arguing with the referees at Everton. We've had bad decisions here, and have had to take them on the chin.

"I've not made too big fuss of it. I've not called Mike Riley or spoke to him. We have to go with the integrity of the referee, which we will do.

"A similar thing happened before the first game [against Liverpool] when we got a player sent off. I don't know what Liverpool's business is. Mike Riley went in to see them. He didn't come to see us."
