Tottenham striker Emmanuel Adebayor says he is out for revenge against Chelsea in the FA Cup semi-final after the Blues ruined his last trip to Wembley.

Adebayor, 28, helped the Gunners reach the FA Cup semi-final in 2009 but they were knocked out by Chelsea after a 2-1 defeat. Now the Togo international, who has never won a trophy in England despite spending five years in the country, wants to make amends.

"My only other appearance at Wembley was that 2-1 defeat so my memories are not good," he said. "Football is all about winning medals because they are the moments you can look back on with pride.

"I want to win the FA Cup so I can show my medal to my kids and say: 'Look what daddy won!' I didn't win anything with Arsenal or Manchester City so I want to lift the FA Cup with Tottenham. We are two wins away from achieving that."

Meanwhile, Spurs boss Harry Redknapp is expecting a 'tight' game. "It's the semi-final of the FA Cup," he said. "This is a great position for the club to be in at this stage of the season. We're all looking forward to it and we're still in there looking to get into the Champions League.

"We've tough opposition in Chelsea, who are also in the semi-finals of the Champions League. We've had two draws this season and it will be another tight game."

Redknapp also admitted that his side will be treating every game like a final as they look to find success on all remaining fronts this season. He said: "This year we want to win the Cup and get into the top four so every game will be like a cup final now."
