Laurent Blanc has revealed he would be tempted to walk away from his role as France coach if an offer to manage Chelsea were to materialise.

While Barcelona boss Pep Guardiola dismissed reports linking him with the Stamford Bridge job as "fantasy" on Tuesday, Blanc admitted he would be open to an offer from the Blues.

With his contract set to expire after this summer's European Championship, Blanc, who took charge of France following their disappointing 2010 World Cup campaign, has been linked with both Chelsea and Inter Milan.

While Blanc insists he intends to sign a new deal with France, he admits he could be swayed by an "exceptional offer".

"It's always gratifying when big clubs are interested in you," Blanc told Le Parisien ." I can sign elsewhere, before or during the Euros.

"I often hear it said that it's the boss who decides whether or not to extend the contract of a player or a coach at the end of their contract but people forget the the employee can also decide for themselves.

"My intention is to carry on with the France team, but the fact remains, I have not extended my contract. If I get an exceptional offer, I could very well decide to leave for that club."
