Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini has confirmed he is yet to discuss a new contract with the club's owners.

The Italian, who led City to the Premier League title this season, has one more year left on his current deal with speculation rife that a four-year extension is in the offing.

Mancini has not had any talks with City owner Sheikh Mansour but does not appear to be overly concerned by the fact, instead opting to focus on plans for the club's future regardless of his own circumstances.

"He sent me a message of congratulations," Mancini said of Sheikh Mansour in an interview with Gazzetta dello Sport.

"He was happy. We haven't spoken about a new contract but I am very happy to work here.

"The basis is here to start a cycle."

Discussing the manner in which City clinched the title, Mancini described the two injury-time goals that snatched a 3-2 victory from the jaws of defeat against QPR.

"It was a miracle," Mancini said. "God looked at our game and gave us a helping hand.

"Football is mad and it's extraordinary because of that. Games end on the final whistle and you cannot give up.

"On Sunday we won the title by scoring two goals in injury-time. I have never experienced that before and I don't know when it will happen again."

Mancini, who has previously won the Serie A title on three occasions with Inter, added: "I have won in England, in the home of football masters. For an Italian this is an immense joy.

"I am proud to be Italian and to represent my nation in the best way. I dedicate this title to those who love me, to those that have worked to achieve it, but especially to the City fans. I saw a fan in tears in Swansea after losing 1-0 and I realised just how much this team is loved."

Next on the agenda for the 47-year-old is European success, and he concluded: "We have started a new cycle but in order to win the Champions League you need more. The lessons of this year will be good for us. We need time, patience and experience."
