Barton quashes Fleetwood rumours

QPR midfielder has taken to Twitter to deny reports that he has joined League Two side Fleetwood Town on loan, having been training with the club during pre-season.
Barton, 29, will serve a 12-match suspension following his red card against Manchester City on the final day of the 2011-12 season - an incident for which he was found guilty of two counts of violent conduct.
With QPR having headed on tour to Asia, Barton has spent the past few weeks training with Fleetwood Town, prompting BBC Lancashire to report that he will stay at the club. Barton, though, has denied the reports.
"BBC news jumping the gun a bit,'' Barton said on his Twitter account. "I've not signed for Fleetwood. Just currently enjoying training there..."
Following the incident at Etihad Stadium, QPR decided to strip Barton of the captaincy and fined him six weeks' wages.
