Rooney rubbishes United exit talk

Wayne Rooney has dismissed reports that he could be sold by Manchester United as "absolute rubbish".
Rumours had surfaced that Sir Alex Ferguson could look to offload the England striker for £40 million following the arrival of Robin van Persie.
However, Rooney, currently facing up to two months on the sidelines with a badly gashed leg, has taken to his Twitter page to dismiss such talk.
"Read the nonsense in the papers and heard what people have to say," Rooney wrote on his Twitter feed. "Absolute rubbish. #heretostay"
Rooney was strongly linked with a move away, likely to Manchester City, in October 2010 but eventually pledged his future to the Red Devils and signed a new, improved contract.
