Wilshere 'named in Arsenal squad'
Jack Wilshere is on the brink of making his long-awaited first-team return for Arsenal after his agent claimed he has been named in the squad to face Norwich on Saturday.
Wilshere missed the entirety of last season with a serious ankle injury, but Arsene Wenger said this week he feels the midfielder is now 80% fit.
The England international completed 90 minutes for Arsenal in a friendly against Chelsea on Wednesday, following on from stints of 63 and 74 minutes in Under-21 matches.
And he is now on course to complete his reintegration into the first-team with a potential substitute appearance at Carrow Road.
Simon Bayliff, Wilshere's agent, tweeted: "It's been two good-news days in a row. Doesn't happen very often. Jack travels to Norwich in the Arsenal first-team squad! Delighted."
However, at his press conference pre-Norwich, Wenger did sound a note of caution by hinting Wilshere still had to prove his fitness in a second-string match on Monday.
"He needs one more game, maybe Monday night with the reserves, then he should be back," he said.
