Yaya Toure has said he wants to end his career at Manchester City and targeted plenty more trophies before he hangs up his boots.

Toure, 29, was a star performer as City won the Premier League title last season, and the Ivory Coast midfielder says he feels at home at the Etihad Stadium.

"I would love to end my career here," he told the club's official website. "Nobody knows what the next step is in football and I believe that if you stop dreaming, you should stop playing football - but this is where I want to be.

"There is no other place I would rather finish, and I want to continue winning titles and trophies with City. I believe we are just at the beginning of our journey."

City are second in the Premier League table, six points adrift of Manchester United, who beat them 3-2 in a fiery derby match last weekend.

But they suffered a dismal Champions League campaign, crashing out at the group stage and failing even to qualify for the Europa League.
