Juventus midfielder Andrea Pirlo has told Frank Lampard he could extend his career by switching the Premier League for Serie A.

Lampard, 34, faces an uncertain future at Chelsea, with his contract due to expire at the end of the season and no offer of an extension forthcoming.

He is not short of options though, with Manchester United and LA Galaxy among the clubs believed to be interested in signing him.

Pirlo would be keen for Juve to add their name to the list of suitors, claiming the England international is still at the top of his profession.

"I can only make comment on what I see," Pirlo is quoted as saying the Daily Mail. "And from what I see, Lampard is still one of the best central midfield players in the world.

"If he wanted to try at playing in Italy, I would welcome him at Juventus for sure. In Italy, Frank would comfortably have another four years at the top level."
