Ferguson disregards Benitez comments
Sir Alex Ferguson has dismissed interim Chelsea manager Rafael Benitez's claims that he has an undue influence on the FA.
Benitez - who made similar accusations about Manchester United boss Ferguson during his years at Liverpool - made his latest comments after Ferguson criticised assistant referee Simon Beck following United's draw at Tottenham.
The Spaniard said: 'What I said at that time [as Liverpool manager] was what I thought and what I'm seeing now is similar. It depends on the FA. I don't know what they will do.
"Maybe now a lot of people are seeing the same things. I will not talk too much about that because it's obvious."
But Ferguson said: "I am not bothered what Rafa says, to be honest. I have more on my mind."
The United boss will discover on Tuesday whether the FA intends to bring a misconduct charge over his criticism of Beck, but said he "wouldn't bet" on the FA seeing things his way, adding: "We will see what happens."
