Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart has echoed manager Roberto Mancini by saying his side must try to win all of their remaining league games in order to retain their title.

City's 2-2 home draw against Liverpool means they are nine points behind neighbours Manchester United with 13 games of the Premier League season remaining.

Hart, like Mancini, feels City could need to take all the 39 points available to keep their crown - but said he was confident they could do it.

"We've got to be confident," he told City's official website. "There's no point turning up otherwise. We have got to win every game now and look not to drop any points, and it is a good challenge for us."

Hart was impressed by Liverpool's performance at the Etihad Stadium, adding: "It's not the result we wanted but a draw was fair. Liverpool played really well. I'd imagine they will argue we were lucky to get a result in the end.

"They are a good side, and I think they have finally worked out what the manager wants from them. They are a tough side to play against."

After Hart was beaten by strikes from his England team-mates Daniel Sturridge and Steven Gerrard, Sergio Aguero rescued a point for City with a shot from an acute angle, and the 'keeper said: "It was an amazing goal."
