Cristiano Ronaldo has laughed off criticism of him from Jose Mourinho, while also giving nothing away on his future with Real Madrid.

Mourinho departed Real Madrid for a second crack with life at Chelsea and upon his departure he accused Ronaldo of being a know-all who cannot handle criticism.

There had been widespread talk of major unrest between Mourinho and sections of the Real squad in the final months of his tenure. Mourinho's barb would appear to suggest the rumours were true, but it does not appear to have caused Ronaldo any concern.

"Do you really think I'm worried about that?" was Ronaldo's response to questions about Mourinho's criticism. "I'm concerned with the national team, that's what matters most to me. Opinions of others...," Ronaldo, speaking following Portugal's win over Russia, said with a laugh.

Ronaldo's future at Real is also up in the air. He has been linked with a return to Manchester United, while Madrid president Florentino Perez has spoken confidently about the Portugal international signing a new deal.

When asked if he would be signing a new deal at Real, Ronaldo said: "I don't know, we'll wait and see."
