Kevin De Bruyne is unsure about his future at Chelsea as he revealed talks with the club and new manager Jose Mourinho have yet to take place.

The 21-year-old Belgium international was signed by the West London outfit in January 2012 for a reported fee of £7 million, but has yet to make a competitive appearance for the Blues.

De Bruyne remained at Genk for the rest of the 2011/12 season after putting pen to paper at Chelsea, before going out on loan to Werder Bremen during the last campaign - where he scored 10 times in 33 outings.

And on whether Mourinho has spoken to him about his future at Chelsea, De Bruyne told Sky Sports News: "Not yet. I think the time will come. The season is over now so we'll see what happens."

De Bruyne was on the score sheet for Belgium on Friday in their victory over Serbia in their 2014 World Cup qualifier, and the attacker has warned Chelsea he needs to be playing regularly in order to be ready for his nation ahead of the World Cup.

"The most important thing for me is just to play my game. I know myself and I won't be stressed when I am on the bench," he said.

"I'm always trying to do my best for the team and I had a great season [with Bremen]. I need to play a lot of games, and also with the World Cup it's very important."
